All five products are formulated with gentle, plant-derived ingredients and are free from sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, dyes, and petrolatums. That said, every child's skin is different — if your child has a known allergy or a severe skin condition, check with their doctor first. Note the Hand Soap contains hydrolyzed wheat protein (allergen disclosed on label).
Essential oils and botanical extracts used for fragrance are among the most common causes of skin reactions, even when they're "natural." We chose to be truly unscented — not just "fragrance-free" — so the products work for the widest range of sensitive skin types. The botanicals in our formulas are functional, not decorative.
Phenoxyethanol is one of the most common preservatives in "natural" personal care — it's widely considered safe in low concentrations, but it can cause reactions in some sensitive skin types. Our Body Wash, Conditioner, and Body Lotion use phenoxyethanol-free preservation systems. The Shampoo and Hand Soap do use phenoxyethanol — they do not carry that badge, and we list it plainly in those ingredient lists.
